Abstract

Antibiotic resistance poses a severe threat to global health. This paper investigates the molecular mechanisms underlying multidrug resistance in Staphylococcus aureus. Using CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, we identified three novel gene clusters responsible for efflux pump overexpression. Our findings suggest that targeting these regulatory pathways could restore susceptibility to conventional antibiotics.
