Abstract

Urban planning in megacities requires a multi-faceted approach considering environmental sustainability, economic growth, and social equity. This paper presents a case study of Jakarta's recent transit-oriented development initiatives. By analyzing traffic patterns and land-use changes over a 5-year period, we demonstrate that integrated public transport systems can reduce carbon emissions by up to 12%. The study also highlights the importance of community engagement in the planning process.
